Marin Leroy and Carrie Pusey have been working together to infuse classroom learning with hands on experiences in the field and the garden for the past two years. As recipients of a Fund For Teachers Fellowship Award, these two are getting ready to embark on a learning adventure of their own- to learn how to do what they do even better and to bring back ideas, knowledge and inspiration to our Evergreen community.
June 26-June 30 Marin, Carrie and two FEAST Garden Educators will attend The Edible Schoolyard Institute as Team FEAST WNC. They are honored to have been chosen to attend, as there were over 400 applicants and only 90 were selected. This team will work and learn alongside other participants from all over the world, looking closely at how to better integrate edible education into the public school classroom.
