The wilderness is my real home. In nature, I feel calm. My heart rate slows, my muscles relax, and peace and quiet is the central mood. Being with animals and having tress surround me feels natural. The chatter of squirrels and chirps of birds don't hurt my ears like the loud car engines and blasting music. The tickle of pine needles sends electricity through my body and the smell of sap is sweet. Nature is where the human race originated, and that's where we belong. I live in an industrial world, but nature is where I feel at home.
