In the past day we sat in our sit spots in the woods and wrote about nature. While I was sitting in my spot I starting thinking about how humans affect nature in both good and bad ways. I feel like humans care about the environment but destroy it at the same time. I feel like if we try hard enough we can create a balance between what we destroy and what we help thrive in nature. I have a strong connection with nature and it's animals. I enjoy helping the plants and animals that thrive in it. I have a strong love for nature mainly because I enjoy the presents of animals and I can’t stand to see them suffering from deforestation and loss of habitat. Sometimes I wonder why people keep on talking about all the bad things that are going to happen because of global warming, but not many people are taking action on it. Yeah it’s true little things like recycling and turning off lights when you leave a room do help but do they help animals find a new home when their habitat is gone? The answer is no. Those things help in many ways but not in this case. I am a big supporter of the Asheville Nature Center because they take care of animals that are injured or endangered until it is safe for them to go back into the wild. One of the big things I want to devote my life to is helping nature and the animals in it. I don’t want to see any more animals lost to extinction. In the web of life if one thing is lost its lost forever and thats going to affect us humans even if we never understand it.
