I have always felt a connection with trees, but as time goes by there are less and less of them. Throughout history trees have been important in spiritual traditions, religions, a persons health, and in many other ways. I understand why people cut down trees whether it's for money, to build something, or to have more space. But over the years it's gotten out of hand. We need trees to live; it's a known fact, and for some religions and spiritual reasons you need trees to survive in different ways. It's hard to sit back and watch, wondering why they cut down trees, and feeling helpless. I have always felt that I could never do anything to help and eventually all the trees would be gone, and we would all be left with an emptiness and regret. And then at that point it would be the only time people realized what they did was wrong. It would be too late. Although I now realize that we can do something to help. It may be as simple as planting a tree, but it helps. I always have and still want to do something bigger, way bigger, although I do know that one day things will get better, it may take a while, but it will get better.
