How's the System

We asked the students how they felt about the current system of accountability; that system being golden tokens for exemplary behavior and work, and individual tallies for unacceptable behavior and not being on task.  There is also group accountability during large group discussions and activities.  We told the students that their opinion matters and that if they had constructive feedback, then they would also need to offer a solution to the problem.  Overall, the students voiced approval of the system and that they felt it was working.  The part they like the best is that individuals are being held accountable (compared to the whole class being punished) and also that they have the opportunity to receive golden tokens, which are worth 5 minutes of time at lunch/movement.
