What Kind of Day do you want to have?

The students took time this morning to write in their class journals their answer to the question above.  We had several volunteers to read aloud what kind of day they intended to have and challenged the students to create the kind of day that they wanted.  We wrote some of the recurring responses on the board to illustrate that most of us are indeed seeking days that are fun, respectful, productive, tally free, crunchy, and rewarded.

We also had the 8th Grade Peer Mediators speak to the class about their roles as mediators and how to get in touch with them.
