"...Good luck and Good work for the happy mountain raindrops, each one of them a high waterfall in itself, descending from the cliffs and hollows of the clouds to the cliffs and hollows of the rocks, out of the sky-thunder into the thunder of the falling rivers. John Muir
We were very grateful for the rain yesterday! Asheville can certainly use it! How fortunate that it fell between our trips to Longbranch. E&C's class enjoyed a wonderful trip. They came back bearing gorgeous healthy berry plants and filled to the brim with fresh air, sunshine, and knowledge! M&D's class headed into those hills today and came back messy, sunkissed and full of plant and earth knowledge. We were excited to see Mr. Paul's selection of berry plants, so healthy! Proceeds from our flower card sales are used to purchase these edibles from Paul Gallimore & The Longbranch Environmental Education Center, to donate to local community garden space. The last date to order cards is May 18th. Any cards we have left will be sold at our ECCS Annual Meeting on May 19th.
The Annual Meeting is a very important gathering. In addition to the legal necessity of meeting our bylaws, coming together in community is an important tradition that helps keep Evergreen strong! This is the schedule:
